The University of Oregon Library has acquired the archives of Brian Lanker from the Lanker family, housed in Special Collections and being prepared to be available to the public. To celebrate Brian’s wide-ranging and prolific body of work, the UO Library has launched a fundraising campaign to create a “Brian Lanker Research Award,” an annual stipend for researchers, creators and thinkers that will support their travel to Eugene to study Brian’s archives in person.

Their goal is $100,000 to create a permanent endowment, so this award can be awarded year after year in perpetuity. If you’re interested in contributing, you may do so at this secure giving link for the Brian Lanker Collection Fund. The UO also accepts gifts in the form of multi-year pledges, stock gifts, and distributions from IRAs and required minimum distributions.
