In the early ’70s, I played mandolin in a folk trio in Eugene. We were pretty good and even got a paying gig at the old Feed Mill restaurant. Though I put the mandolin down for almost 40 years, I’m playing again — this time in the Oregon Mandolin Orchestra. I also serve on the elected board of directors.
