I hope you have a wonderful reunion and I look forward to hearing about it. I’m currently the VP for System Communications for BayCare, a 32k-employee not-for-profit health care system in West Central Florida, including Tampa Bay.

My daughter, Joy, is a rising high school senior and is on the college hunt, including a couple of Oregon schools. The biggest news in our world right now, however, remains the death in October of her dad and my husband, Eugene-native Mark Howerton, in October after a valiant, 5-year fight against kidney cancer. Many of you knew Mark well, and it was so amazing to have Ann Esteve travel to attend his funeral.

Truly, my R-G days are ties that bind.
